Meaning of Roses An overview of roses and their different meanings. As many people already know, each different colored Rose has a different meaning. When giving roses the main symbol usually signifies love, but each color will also represent something different. Each arrangement of roses also has a meaning which adds importance to an already special bouquet. Each rose will have its own perfect moment to be given. Valentines Day is a great day to send the one you love a Red Rose, or a mixture of red and white roses. Purple, Orange and Coral roses have become a popular Valentines Day flower and are challenging the place of the Red Rose. Purple roses are a beautiful gesture. They are given to signify love at first sight. Orange and Coral roses will tell the recipient that you feel desire and passion for them. If you are wanting to send a symbol of friendship, Yellow roses are the way to go. To say thank-you and show appreciation, send someone Pink roses. Light pink and peach roses symbolize feelings of gratitude and sympathy. The pure beauty and innocence of the White rose easily expresses reverence and humility.
It has been disputed for years about the existence of the Black Rose. Unfortunately there are no true black roses. There are however some very deep red roses called Black Magic that have been mistaken for the Black Rose. If you are determined on getting a black rose, it is possible to die roses black. Just ask your florist in advance, and they will most likely make them especially for you. Although the Black Rose is not naturally existent, they symbolize rebirth, death, or vengeance.
